Pawnshop manager nabbed for alleged theft MAGUINDANAO --- Policemen arrested Wednesday amanagerof apawnshopin Parang town accused of robbing her employer P448,000 cash and P2.9 million worth of pawned jewelries.Senior Supt. Agustin Tello, director of the Maguindanao provincial police, said the suspect, 41-year-old Mary Joy Abrilla Acacio, is now in the custody of the Parang municipal police.Tello said Acacio was arrested based on a report by the owner of the ParangPawnshop, where she works asmanager.Subordinates of Acacio have confirmed she has been taking out selected jewelries from their safety vault since last week.They reported on Tuesday to their employer the suspect’s smuggling out of jewelries when they overheard her dealing with prospective buyer by phone.Acacio will be charged with theft by the owner of thepawnshop, according to Tello.
