(UPDATE 1) Magnitude 3.7 quake hits Balabagan, Lanao Sur and Cotabato City

COTABATO CITY -- A magnitude 3.7 quake hits Balabagan, Lanao del sur and Cotabato City Saturday afternoon, the state volcanology office today said.The tremor, which Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said was tectonic in origin, came at 5:04 p.m. and traced 18 kilometers east of Balabagan town.Intensity 3 was felt in Balabagan while Intensity 2 in Cotabato City.No damages to property and nobody was hurt as of posting, Phivolcs said.The mild quake came hours after a powerful earthquake hit surigao del Norte and Surigao City that left six dead and 120 others injured.
