Fr. Buendicho will be laid to rest on Feb. 21

TACURONG CITY -- The remains of Rev. Fr. Allan Crismie Buendicho, DCC will be brought to the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Cotabato City on February 20, the archdiocese of Cotabato today said.Fr. Buendicho who died in a motorcycle crash will be laid to rest on February 21 at the Notre Dame Archdiocesan Seminar cemetery after the requiem mass to be presided over by Kidapawan Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo, DD.Fr. Buendicho, more known as Fr. Nonoy, was parish priest of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat until his demise following a 10:30 p.m. highway crash on February 5 in Barangay 2, Tacurong City.He expired at past 2 a.m. at St. Louis Hospital in Tacurong City.He was 48 years old.Fr. Ben Torreto, DCC, rector of the Notre Dame Archdiocesan Seminary, said Fr. Allan was driving a motorbike heading to Lambayong when he unintentionally hit a tricycle in front and was hit by another motorbike following him at past 10 p.m. in National Highway Barrio Dos, Tacurong City.Fr. Allan, who served as vicar forane of the Midsayap Vicariate and parish priest of Libungan, North Cotabato before he was assigned in Lambayong, was ordained priest on April 25, 1995.Fr. Buendicho
was born on February 28, 1969 at Tinumigues, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat.He
studied at Tacurong Pilot Elementary School and the Notre Dame of Tacurong for
Boys (High School).

He graduated Philosophy
degree Notre Dame University in Cotabato City and Archdiocesan Seminary in 1990.
In 1994, he earned his Theology from the St. Francis Xavier Regional Major
Seminary in Davao City.

Ordained
deacon on November 12, 1994 at San Pedro Cathedral in Davao City, Buendicho was
ordained to the priesthood on April 25, 1995 by Archbishop Philip F. Smith,
OMI, DD at the Immaculate Concepcion Cathedral in Cotabato City.

Fr. Allan
served as assistant parish priest in Lebak Parish right after his ordination from
1995-1997. He was made parish priest of Banisilan Parish in North Cotabato in
1997 until 1998 while serving as the Archdiocesan Youth Director.

He also served
as parish priest of President Quirino Parish in Sultan Kudarat (1998-1999),
Isulan Parish (1999 – 2003), Queen of Peace Parish in Cotabato (2003-2004),
Bagumbayan Parish (2004-2009), Libungan Parish (2009-2014). Lambayong Parish
