PDEA, cops arrest 21, seize P1-M worth of drugs, carnapped bikes in Kabacan

KABACAN, North
Cotabato -- Joint elements of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-12),
military and PNP today nabbed 21 persons and seized illegal drugs during
anti-illegal drug raid in Purok Krislam, Barangay Poblacion here.

Senior Insp. Ronnie
Cordero, Kabacan town police chief, said the joint team served nine search
warrants and was able to arrest their all those named in the warrants.

confiscated 12 undocumented motorbikes, some were chopped-chopped and
believed to be carnapped.

The 4 a.m.
raid surprised the suspects, some tried but failed to escape as the safe house
has been surrounded by police operatives, he said.

Kabacan Mayor
Herlo Guzman and Senior Supt. Emmanuel Peralta, North Cotabato police provincial
director, presented the suspects to the media.

I want to
commend our law enforcers for this very successful operation against these
people who continuously destroy our society, the mayor said.

Guzman said
the group belonged to a well-organized carnapping and illegal drug syndicates
operation in North Cotabato and nearby Maguindanao.

Purok Krislam,
is a known drug haven in Kabacan town where huge volume of illegal drugs emanate
before these are distributed to other towns in the province.

In 2014,
police also raided Purok Krislam where arrests were made and illegal drugs were
