Blast injures CAFGU member

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Explosion wounded slightly one CAFGU member this morning (February 12) at Sitio Pansol, Brgy Macasampen, Guindulungan Maguindanao.The wounded was one of the members of the CAFGU Active Auxiliary under 23rd CAA, Delta Company, 38th Infantry Battalion, who are conducting regular security patrol in the area. The anti-personnel mine took place at around 7:30 in the morning and was placed near an old nipa hut just 50 meters away from the national highway.Troops of 90th Infantry Battalion together with Guindulungan Municipal Police immediately responded and conducted further security for the possible more attacks. The explosion was meant to inflict harm to our troops just in time they were passing to conduct their regular security in the area, said 6th Infantry Division Commander Maj. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana.The wounded CAFGU member was immediately brought to Camp Siongco Station Hospital here for proper medical treatment.
