PRO-12 chief condemns murder of GenSan trader
GEN. SANTOS CITY - Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, PRO-12 regional director, is deeply saddened and condemned in the strongest terms the fatal death of a victim in a shooting incident on June 8, 2023, 5:58 AM in Purok 5, Block 4, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.
The victim was identified as Roger Albarasin Jayuma, 63-year-old, businessman and resident of Purok 20, Block 1, Barangay Fatima, General Santos City.
Initial report revealed that the victim was approached by two unidentified male suspects, engaged in a brief conversation. One of the two men shot him at close range in the head.
GSC Police Station 7 personnel promptly responded to the incident upon receiving the report. A crime scene investigation was conducted, resulting in the recovery of one empty shell and one slug. The victim's body was transported to Villa Funeral Parlor for necropsy and further examination.
PRO 12 is committed to pursue a thorough investigation of this senseless act of violence. Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators who are responsible for this heinous crime.
Macaraeg urges anyone with information related to the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation. Likewise, he extended his deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Roger Albarasin Jayuma and assured them that the police force will exhaust every effort to bring justice to the victim and hold the perpetrators accountable.

I am reminding everyone to remain vigilant, report any suspicious activities to the authorities, and support law enforcement units in their efforts to maintain peace and order.” Macaraeg said.
