COTABATO CITY – A police officer was slightly injured while three suspected illegal
drug pushers were arrested in a police anti-illegal drug operation in Datu Anggal
Midtimbang town in Maguindanao Sunday, police said.

Nickson Muksan, Maguindanao police provincial director, said elements of the
Provincial Anti-Illegal Drug Task Force backed by the Army’s 2nd
Mechanized Infantry Battalion, raided a remote village in Datu
Anggal Midtimbang town to arrest a suspected illegal drug supplier.

COTABATO CITY -- The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), in its bulletin, on Sunday said it recorded seven earthquakes in Mindanao and one in Luzon in the past 30 hours or since dawn Saturday.The latest strong tremor was of magnitude 5.7, tectonic in origin and traced 58 kilometers west of Bolinao, Pangasinan, the Phivolcs here said in its bulletin.It happened at 3:40 a.m.

COTABATO CITY - A magnitude 5.2 earthquake today hit Davao Occidental, the second in the area in an hour, the fifth in Mindanao on Saturday,the
Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said in its
bulletin.

The quake, traced 34 kilometers east of Saranggani town in Davao
Occidental, was tectonic in origin and occurred at 8:29 p.m.

It has a depth of focus of 126 kilometers.

No casualty or damage to property was reported. Intensity I was
felt in Gen. Santos City and Saranggani provincial capitol in Alabel town.

KORONADAL CITY - A man was killed while 14 others were hurt in three vehicle collision inCrossing Cabudian,Banga, SouthCotabato Friday,with a dump truck's driver's cabin thrown off, police and witnesses said.The incident happened in accident prone highway in Barangay Liwanay, Banga, South Cotabato. It was the worst highway accident i have seen, a police traffic investigator said at the accident scene.Involved in the three vehicle smash up were a dump truck (MWB-184), a top-down tricycle (8395-MA) and a Toyota hiluxvehicle (EBM-723).

COTABATO CITY - At least three houses were razed to the ground in a fire that hit Rosales Street,Barangay Rosary Heights 6, Cotabato City Monday afternoon.Cotabato City Bureau of Fire Protection spokesperson Fire Inspector James Rah told DXMS Radyo Bida that the fire struck at about 4:30 p.m. in one of the houses made of light materials and quickly spread to adjacent homes.Rah said fire fighters arrived on time and put off the fire minutes later with the help of local residents.He said arson investigators are still determining what triggered the fire and thecost of damages.
