BASILAN – Patients in the island province of Basilan can expect more health care services with the newly constructed Lamitan District Hospital (LDH) building, COVID-19 isolation facility, and 11 (eleven) sea and land ambulances, all funded by the Bangsamoro Government.

On Thursday, July 15, Minister Dr. Bashary Latip of the Ministry of Health (MOH) led the inauguration of the 25-bed capacity LDH building and 120-bed capacity COVID facility, and the turnover of 2 (two) sea ambulances, 9 (nine) land ambulances and Barangay Health Wokers (BHS) kits to the province.

The Department of Health-Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN Region received Wednesday morning 45,700 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine and 2,400 doses of Gamaleya (Sputnik V) vaccine.

The vaccines will be inoculated to the remaining individuals under priority groups A1-A3.

KORONADAL CITY - At least 9,650 frontline healthcare workers (A1), senior citizens (A2), and persons with co-morbidity in South Cotabato will soon begin receiving their second dose of vaccine against coronavirus disease.

This, after the Department of Health - Center for Health Development SOCCSKSARGEN Region delivered Monday (July 12) the same number of vials of Sinovac's CoronaVac vaccine to the South Cotabato Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO).
