Bounty up for Koronadal blast suspects

KORONADAL CITY – A P100,000 reward money is being offered to anyone who gives
police authorities a tip that could lead to the identification and possible
arrest of those responsible in Sunday afternoon bombing here.

City Mayor
Peter Miguel, speaking over Church-run Radio DXOM-AM, said the reward money
will help the police fast track the identification and prosecution of those who
set off a homemade beside the Christ the King Cathedral that hurt two persons.

Cops eye IS-linked group in Koronadal blast

KORONADAL CITY – Police authorities blamed the Islamic State of Iraq and
Syria-allied Moro armed group in the bombing near a Catholic Church here Sunday
that left two persons injured.

Chief Supt.
Marcelo Morales, police director for the SOCCSKSARGEN region, told a news
conference that the suspects also used a woman to plant another improvised bomb
in front of a convenience store, about three blocks away from the St. Anthony
Parish Cathedral where the first IED went off.

3 South Cotabato elected officials in Pres. Duterte's narco-list

KORONADAL CITY - Three elected officials in South Cotabato are in President Duterte's narco-list and may be named publicly on Monday, an official of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-Soccsksargen) said.In a news conference, Christina Cabatingan, PDEA-12 operations officer, refused to name the officials.She said validation is still on going on the list now in the custody of PDEA nationalThese officials, she said, were either directly or indirectly involved in illegal drug trade in their respective localities.

Cotabato City LGU yield unlicensed guns to Army

COTABATO CITY – This city has become the second local government unit in Region
12 that positively responded to President Duterte’s calls for surrender of
loose firearms.

First LGU to turn
in collected unlicensed guns was Carmen town in North Cotabato with 102
firearms.

On Wednesday
morning, a total of 42 assorted high powered guns were turned over by local
officials, led by lady Mayor Cynthia Guiani Sayadi, to the Army’s 6th
Infantry Division.

PPCRV official warns of confusion over manual voting

A Catholic priest has warned of confusion as the country reverts to manual elections for the May 14 barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.Msgr.
