COTABATO CITY – A village councilman was killed when he resisted arrest during the implementation of search warrant
Saturday morning in Barangay Kalangnan Mother here.

Senior
Inspector Tirso Pascual, chief of Police Station 2, identified the slain
village councilman as Sadat Ayunan of Barangay Kalanganan Mother.

Ayunan
resisted and pulled a hand grenade, our personnel acted in self-defense, Pascual
told reporters.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Eight persons wanted for different crimes were apprehended in separate operations in North Cotabato that started Wednesday, reports from the police said.In Banisilan, police nabbed a certain Lucelle Omandac who has been wanted for frustrated homicide since 2004.Omandac, according to reports, was arrested in his house at Purok Bagong Silang, Poblacion-Uno, in Banisilan, around 7 p.m., on March 22.

manhunt against a sub-leader of ISIS linked Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters
for killing a farmer and wounding his family of three Thursday night.

Supt. Gilbert
Tuzon, Midsayap town police chief, said the manhunt against the sub-leader of
BIFF, identified by residents as Haron Mama Guimalo, was a joint effort of
Midsayap PNP and 34th Infantry Battalion.

Kudarat -- Police here have launched a massive manhunt against a man
who shot dead a 15-year-old teen and injured 21 others in a grenade attack
during a birthday party Wednesday night.

Senior Supt.
Raul Supiter, Sultan Kudarat police director, said a suspect shot dead Jerome
Balaba, 15 at past 9 p.m. in front of Manzano residence in Barangay Palumbe,
Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat were a debut party was being held.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – A wayward 10-wheeler truck fell off a cliff in a remote village in Matalam, North Cotabato, killing on-the-spot a truck helper and another seriously injured, Sunday.Chief Inspector Sunny Leoncito, Matalam police head, identified the slain helper as Ryan Cerbo, and the injured was Junie Yap, both residents of Barangay Linao, Matalam.
