1,432 guns seized/surrendered to PNP in Region 12

GEN. SANTOS CITY - Police
Regional Office 12 (PRO 12) has now a
total of 1,432 loose and surrendered
firearms from January to June this year.Of
the total number, 461 of it were part of
the police initiated operations against loose firearms, and 971 FAs were surrendered.The total number of loose FAs and
Surrendered FAs from City and Provincial Police Offices of PRO 12 attributed to
the over-all total of FAs in the region.
Sultan
Kudarat Police Provincial Office (SKPPO) has a total of 827 of which 202 are
Loose FAs (99 HPA, 103 LPA), and 625 are Surrendered FAs (264 HPA, 361LPA) Cotabato
Police Provincial Office (CPPO) has 329 of which 77 loose FAs (38HPA, 39LPA)
and 252 surrendered FAs (190HPA, 62LPA) South Cotabato Police Provincial
Office (SCPPO) has 82 of which 39 loose FAs (22HPA, 17LPA) and 43 LPA
surrendered FAs Cotabato City Police Office (CCPO) has 117 with 66 loose FAs (31HPA,
35LPA) and 51 surrendered FAs (36HPA, 15LPA) General Santos City Police Office
52 with 19HPA and 33LPA and Sarangani Police Provincial Office with 25 Loose
FAs-11 HPA and 14LPA.
We
are confident we can still have more of those firearms, as we are doing our
utmost to implement the laws thru our intensified operations against loose
firearms, of course with the help of local Government Units in Region 12 we can
definitely keep a peaceful and orderly community for the people, Chief Supt Morales, PRO-12 regional director, said. For as long as there are still loose firearms
that are not yet surrendered to us, possibility would be a continuing incidents
involving such firearms used by suspects and or ill minded people in their
illegal and or criminal activities, and as a result suspects when raided by PNP
