Makilala highway crash hurts driver, road worker

KIDAPAWAN CITY --- A cargo truck driver and a road worker of the Department of Public Works and Highways landed in the hospital following a highway mishap in Sitio Patulangon, Barangay Malasila, Makilala, North Cotabato Saturday.Injured wereEddie Cabaron Jerawon, 24-anyos, driver of Isuzu elf and resident of Barangay Saguing, also in Makilala and Anthony Morta Familgan, 39 of Arakan, North Cotabato and DPWH worker. Police Senior Inspector Noel Violon, Makilala deputy town police chief, said the truck was heading to Kidapawan City when its driver lost control of its brake system.It hit a cement mixer beside the highway where road widening project is on going.
