KIDAPAWAN CITY --- The bishop of North Cotabato province and another priest immediately under him rumored to have contracted COVID-19 both tested negative for the disease. 

Physician Philbert Malaluan, a member of the North Cotabato Sangguniang Panglalawigan and head of the provincial anti- COVID-19 command center, told reporters Friday Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo and Fr. Charles Allan Nemenzo were not infected with coronavirus as tested separately.

Nemenzo, is a diocesan priest like Bagaforo, is chancellor of the Seminary of the Diocese of Kidapawan. 

COTABATO CITY—Health officials of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) are strengthening its effort to prevent possible outbreak of measles-rubella, including polio, in the region, and to encourage Moro people to take an active role in the fight against Covid-19.

BARMM’s Ministry of Health (MOH) announced in a press conference Wednesday, Oct. 21 that it will start its supplemental immunization against measles-rubella and polio across the region on October 26.

COTABATO CITY  – Two residents of North Cotabato and Cotabato City have died due to novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as of yesterday, raising the death toll on Covid-related disease to 64 in Region 12, the Department of Health reported Tuesday.

One of the fatalities was an 82-year-old female from Cotabato City.  She was the region’s 2,183^rd confirmed Covid-19 case.  Her cause of death was “acute respiratory distress syndrome, COVID-19 confirmed.”

COTABATO CITY – NINETEEN more Covid-19 patinets in Region 12 have recovered as of last night, the Department of Health in the Soccsksargen region said.

To date, the total number of patients who survived the disease rose to 1,462.

Of the number of recovered patients, 10 are from North Cotabato, nine in Sultan Kudarat, four in Gen. Santos and one each in Cotabato City and South Cotabato.

On the other hand, DOH-12 also recorded 32 new cases of infections, raising the total number of confirmed cases in the region to 2,144.

KIDAPAWAN CITY  – About 30 diocesan priests in Cotabato province will undergo isolation starting today after one of them have tested positive of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo, bishop of the Diocese of Kidapawan, said Fr. Jonel Peroy, a member of the Diocese Clery of Kidapawan (DCK) and assigned as parish priest of Sto Nino de Fraga parish in Matalam, Cotabato province was tested positive of COVID-19.

“He is on stable condition and is isolated,” Bishop Bagaforo said in radio interview in Kidapawan City.

COTABATO CITY  – Forty more patients fighting novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) have defeated the virus as of Friday night in the Soccsksargen region.

In a bulletin, the Department of Health 12 reported that the 40 patients, 19 were from Gen. Santos City, 12 from Cotabato City including a 3-year-old girl, seven were from South Cotabato and two in Sultan Kudarat.

But 52 new patients were also recorded as of Oct. 16, Friday across Region 12, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 2,038.

COTABATO CITY - Umaabot sa 31 ang naitalang gumaling ng Department of Health sa Region 12 hanggang kanina. Dahil dito meron ng 1,343 na recovered patients sa Rehiyon.

Sa naturang bilang 14 ang mula sa General Santos City, 10 Cotabato City, 5 North Cotabato, tig 1 sa North Cotabato at Sultan Kudarat. Nadagdagan naman ng 48 na bagong kaso ng Covid 19 Infections ang Soccsksargen Region kung kayat abot na sa 1,986 ang total COVID 19 cases.

Sa mga bagong kaso,15 General Santos City, 9 Cotabato City, tig 8 sa North Cotabato at South Cotabato, 6 Sultan Kudarat at 2 Sarangani.

COTABATO CITY - Tatlo pang mga pasyente ang binawian ng buhay dahil sa novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) sa Region 12.

Iniulat ito ng Dept of Health 12 kagabi.

Isang 84 taong gulang na taga Kiamba, Sarangani, isang 71 taong gulang na taga Cotabato City at isang 61 anyos taga Gensan, lahat pawang mga babae ang nasawi.  Dahil diyan, meron na ngayong 52 ang bilang ng mga binawian ng buhay dahil sa virus.

Habang mas marami naman ang gumaling kaysa nagkasakit ng Covid 19 ang naitala ng DOH kagabi.

TBOLI, South Cotabato -  Work at the municipal hall of Tboli town in South Cotabato province has been suspended for at least five days effective Monday (Oct. 12) due to the increasing cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in the area.

Tboli Mayor Dibu Tuan said he ordered the temporary closure following the confirmed local transmission and the rise in active cases of the disease in their municipality in the past several days.

COTABATO CITY - Nadagdagan pa ng 27 na mga bagong nagpositibo sa Covid 19 ang Soccsksargen ngayong araw.

Dahil dito umaabot na sa 1,880 ang bilang ng COVID 19 Infections sa Rehiyon.

Sa 27 paibagong kaso na naitala ng DOH-Soccsksargen region, 12 ang mula sa South Cotabato, siyam General Santos City, tatlo taga North Cotabato, dalawa Cotabato City at isa sa Sultan Kudarat.

Nakapagtala naman ng 19 pang COVID 19 recoveries ang rehiyon.

Sa ngayon, meron nang 1,240 ang bilang ng mga gumaling.
