MFBM-BARMM finishes, submits 2020 Bangsamoro Expenditure Program

COTABATO CITY - The Ministry of Finance, and Budget and Management (MFBM-BARMM) finished and presented the first FY 2020 Bangsamoro Expenditure Program (BEP) to the members of the Cabinet yesterday, November 14 at the Bajau Hall, Office of the Chief Minister, BARMM Compound, Cotabato City.

This was made possible through the continuous support of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) Central Office and Region 12.

63 North Cotabato barangays joining BARMM Nov.20

COTABATO CITY --- The Bangsamoro government will assume control on November 20 of 63 barangays in North Cotabato as what residents had wished for.

Voters in the 63 barangays in North Cotabato, which is under Administrative Region 12, voted in favor of the inclusion of their communities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao during a plebiscite the Commission on Elections administered early this year.

4Ps beneficiaries in Maguindanao and Sulu to receive cash grants this November

COTABATO CITY  - The Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Social Services and Development (MSSD) is set to release the cash grants of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in the provinces of Maguindanao and Sulu within this month.

In a radio interview, lawyer Raissa Jajurie, MSSD minister, said they are taking measures to ensure that nothing will be deducted from what the beneficiaries are supposed to receive. 

Maguindanao gov favors extension of Martial Law

COTABATO CITY – If she had her way, Maguindanao Governor Bai Meriam Sangki-Mangudadatu want Martial Law to continue in Mindanao, particularly in her province.

Mangudadatu said the Martial Law has given good results for the people of Maguindanao.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday, Mangudadatu believed Martial Law should continue in Maguindanao because this is what peace loving Maguindanaons want.

BARMM to fast-track enactment of regional budget

COTABATO CITY  - The Bangsamoro Government will fast-track the finalization and passage of the 2020 regional budget to avoid disruption in government operation.
 
BARMM Spokesperson Naguib Sinarimbo said “the urgency of that is if we fail to make appointments and comply with the publication requirements of the positions within December, we will have a situation where will not have a government operating by January 2020 and we don’t want that to happen.”
 

Fortified iron rice feeding program launched in BARMM

COTABATO CITY - The Bangsamoro Government’s Ministry of Education and the United Nations World Food Programme (UN-WFP) launched Tuesday, November 12, a feeding program designed to improve the health and school attendance of children in the region.
 
The program dubbed 'Fortified Iron Rice for School Feeding' was launched at Mao Elementary School in Datu Abdullah Sangki municipality in Maguindanao.
 
It aims to help improve the school attendance and performance of children in BARMM by serving them iron-fortified rice during school feeding.

Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ebrahim reshuffles regional cabinet

COTABATO CITY — A revamp in the Cabinet of Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim officially took effect Monday, November 11.

Ebrahim initially made the announcement of minor changes in the setup of regional Cabinet officials in a meeting on November 4, 2019.

More humanitarian support extended to tremor victims 

NORTH COTABATO --- Benefactors from the southern part of Central Mindanao transported Wednesday more relief supplies to earthquake-stricken towns in this province.

The Army’s 6th Infantry Division delivered to North Cotabato more than a thousand gallons of purified water and tarpaulins that evacuees can use as roofing for makeshift shelters.

The Bangsamoro regional government delivered again Wednesday a truckload of relief goods to Kidapawan City, capital of North Cotabato, to complement the relief operations of the provincial government.

Basilan LGUs granted SGLG in Metro Manila rite

COTABATO CITY --- Four local government units in Basilan --- the provincial government and the LGUs of Lamitan City and the neighboring Sumisip and Maluso towns --- each received the 2019 Seal of Good Local Governance during a special rite in Metro Manila Tuesday.

Lamitan City’s 2019  SGLG award was its fourth since 2016, something first ever in the history of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao that existed for 29 years and got replaced with a Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, or BARMM, early this year.

BARMM provides assistance to quake victims

The Bangsamoro Government through its Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidents (READI) has distributed 11, 895 bottled water to affected residents of the series of earthquakes in North Cotabato and Kidapawan City on Friday, November 1.

Series of earthquakes have struck parts of Mindanao over the past couple of weeks causing damage to several infrastructures and some casualties including the death of a number of individuals.
