COTABATO CITY - NAGPULONG na kahapon ang binuong Special Investigation Task Group o SITG Macmod Lauban para ipresenta ang chronology of events bago at pagkatapos ng pamamaril sa biktimang si Bagua 1 Kagawad Macmod Lauban.

Si Lauban ay nasa iwang waiting shed sa Jose Lim Sr Street kasama ang anak nang dumating ang suspect at siya ay pinagbabaril.  Siya ay nasawi on the spot.

Ang SITG ay pamumunuan mismo ni City Director Col. Queruben Manalang Jr. kasama ang CIDG, Regional Forensic Unit at Provincial Crime Lab.

COTABATO CITY --- A motorized hand tractor of a Moro farmer was destroyed when its plow hit an unexploded 40-millimeter grenade projectile in Barangay Sapalan in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte on Thursday afternoon.

Lt. Col. Esmael Madin, Datu Odin Sinsuat municipal police chief, said on Friday that farmer Sandot Abad Peling survived the blast unscathed.

The explosion triggered panic among residents of Barangay Sapalan.

Isolated areas in Barangay Sapalan were scenes of clashes in past years between soldiers and Moro secessionist rebels.

Nakuha sa mga ito ang tatlong malalaking sachet ng shabu na nagkakahalaga ng higit P1 million at ang fake buy bust money.

Sinabi ni Madin na dalawang linggo nilang sinubaybayan ang sspect dahil sa illegal na gawain ito at nang makumpirma ay isinagawa ang drug buy bust operation alas 6 kagabi.

Base sa ulat ng kapulisan, nakaupo sa waiting shed si Lauban kasama ang kanyang anak na lalaki nang bigla itong pagbabarilin ng hindi pa tukoy na mga suspek.

COTABATO CITY  – A village chairman who won in the recent Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan while in jail has been released Thursday after the murder charges against him were dismissed for lack of evidence.

“I saw it coming since from the very start I am innocent of the charges,” said Akmad Urak, elected chairperson of Barangay Tamontaka 1, Cotabato City as he and seven others stepped out of the city jail.

Urak believed the charges against him were politically motivated.

COTABATO CITY - The overall residential rate of Cotabato Light & Power Company (Cotabato Light) is lower by 0.42 centavo, or equivalent to 5.05% reduction, from P8.37 last November to P7.95 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) this December. The reduction is attributed to lower generation rates from the power sources.

This rate applies to bills received from December 16, 2023 to January 15, 2024.

Despite this, Cotabato Light still encourages customers to manage their energy consumption and use electricity wisely to conserve energy.
