COTABATO CITY - Heavyfirefight has erupted early this morning between government forces and an armed group believed to be remnants ofthe Maute-terror group linked to ISIS.

DATU MONTAWAL, Maguindanao –- An official of National Irrigation Administration (NIA) based in
Midsayap, North Cotabato was killed in an ambush along the national highway here Tuesday
afternoon, police said.

COTABATO CITY – Two loud blasts rock Cotabato City at about 9:10 p.m. Sunday, hours
before the plebiscite for the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), police said.

Senior Supt.
Michael Lebanan, acting police chief, said two explosions believed to be from
grenades rocked inside the residential compound of Atty. Angelito Rasalan, 53,
married and Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Upi, Maguindanao.

No one was
hurt, Libanan told reporter at the site.

PARANG,
Maguindanao – Unidentified gunmen ambush and killed Saturday morning a man and
his son in an ambush in Mamasapano, Maguindanao, police said.

In a spot
report, the Mamasapano municipal police office identified the man as Alimudin
Bansuan, 41, and his 11-year old son Gaga, both residents of Barangay Rosary
Heights 3, Cotabato City.

Bansuan was driving
his white sedan car from Barnagay Libutan, Mamasapano to Cotabato when ambushed
by two men on motor bikes at 10:45 a.m. in Barangay Dabenayan, also in Mamasapano.

KORONADAL CITY -- Unidentified gunman shot dead a woman who was on board a passenger tricycle along a busy street here Friday afternoon.Supt.Benjiel KirbyBajo,Koronadal City police director, identified the victim as Jenny Agustin, 43, former traffic enforcer of Koronadal City and a resident of Barangay Namnama.Bajo said the victim was from a local bank and withdrew money when the shooting occurred at the corner of Gen. Santos drive and Zulueta Street at about 2 p.m.Agustin died on the spot from gunshot wounds in her head and neck.Police eye personal grudge as the motive.

COTABATO CITY – Two persons were killed while another was injured and survive a
late evening ambush in Sultan Kudarat, Maguindanao Friday.

The ambush
occurred in a dimly lit portion of the highway in Barangay Macaguiling, Sultan
Kudarat town at past 10 p.m.

Police said
the victims were on board a tricycle, locally known as Payong-Payong, heading
to Parang, Maguindanao from Cotabato City when the ambush occurred.
