CITY – Police authorities in Region 12 have reported the arrest of several
wanted persons and persons involved in illegal drugs during separate law
enforcement operations across the region.

Chief Supt.
Eliseo Tam Rasco, police director for the SOCCSKSARGEN region, reported the following

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao
– Government forces conducting combat clearing operations in Datu Piang,
Maguindanao on Thursday discovered high powered firearms kept in an unexpected
place – vacant comfort room.

Maj. Gen.
Cirilito Sobejana, the commander of the 6th Infantry Division, said
members of 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion found the high powered firearms at
about 7:30 in the morning inside the comfort room at the back of barangay hall
of Buayan, Datu Piang, Maguindanao.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – Thirteen high-powered loose firearms were handed-over to 1st Mechanized Infantry Battalion by the local government of Datu Salibo, Maguindanao on February 06, 2019.The firearms were turned over in a ceremony during the Muncipal Peace and Order Council (MPOC) meeting led by Mayor Norodin S. MAGUINDANAO --- The police arrested on Tuesday a senior commander of the Moro Islamic Liberation Front wanted for arson and multiple murder.Hamsa Abdullah Pandita, who is more known in Maguindanao as Commander Transceiver, was nabbed by a police team in Montawal town.Chief Inspector Erwin Tabora of the Montawal municipal police confirmed on Wednesday the arrest of Pandita.Tabora said the suspect was arrested after vigilant tipsters provided them information purporting that he has lately been moving around the towns at the border of North Cotabato and Maguindanao provinces in the company of

North Cotabato – Police authorities here announced today the arrest of
a man who was carrying an unlicensed gun inside polling precinct in Barangay
Dunguan, Aleosan, North Cotabato.

Aleosan is one
of the seven towns where voters in four villages are participating for the
inclusion of plebiscite for Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).

Chief Supt.
Eliseo Tam Rasco, police regional director for Region 12, identified the man as
Mohammad Sawan Kutok, 32, farmer and a resident of Barangay Dunguan, Aleosan,
North Cotabato.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – Unidentified gunman shot dead Tuesday night the town council secretary
of Pres. Roxas, North Cotabato, police said.

Robert
Herbilla, 43, Sangguniang Bayan secretary, was inside his home at 8 p.m.
watching TV when four men on two separate motorbikes arrived.

One of the four
suspects barged in and opened fire on Herbilla who was seated at his home’s
sala, according to Chief Inspector Rolly Oranza, town police chief.

He was hit in the face and body.

COTABATO CITY - A 14-year old and a 17-year old out-of-school male minors were shot-to-death by a lone assassin while his cohort waited outside the establishment.Police Supt. Joefel Sioson, chief of police of Tacurong City, said that the incident took place around 7 p.m. while the victims were busy playing on line games in an internet shop along the national highway in Barangay San Pablo.

Maguindanao – Alert Army troopers manning a checkpoint along a highway here prevented what could be another bombing incident in the province or
nearby areas.

Encinas, speaking for the 6th Infantry Division, said a man on board a motorbike was traveling to Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao from
Talayan town at 12:30 p.m.

Upon seeing
elements of the 90th Infantry Battalion checking on motorists, the
man decided to turn around and left his motorbike.
