Tantangan LGU watchman shot dead

TANTANGAN, South Cotabato - Unidentified gunmen shot dead a security guard working for the local government here Friday morning, police said.Chief Inspector Verlin Pampolina, Tantangan town police chief, identified the victim as Rolando del Solor, a resident of Barangay Maibu.Pampolina said Del Solor was driving home at about 6 a.m. on board his motorbike after his tour of duty securing the town hall compound was over.Two men riding on separate motorcycle were seen tailing Del Solor. Upon reaching Barangay Dumadalig, the suspects opened fire on the victim who sustained six gunshot wounds in the head and body.He died on the spot.Pampolina said the murder was not related to illegal drugs but could be personal grudge between the suspects and the victim.
