Kidapawan cop charged for firing gun inside cockpit arena

KIDAPAWAN CITY (Sept. 9/NDBC) – Being under the influence of liquor and
with a gun could cost a policeman’s job.

This if the Regional Internal Affairs Service (RIAS) of the PNP found
SPO1 Gadfry Cumboc guilty of indiscriminate firing, an offense that could mean
dismissal from service.

On Sunday, PO1 Cumboc allegedly fired his service firearm while inside
the Makilala cockpit arena.

He was reported to be under the
influence of liquor.

Cotabato City flood victims get aid

COTABATO CITY (Sept. 9/NDBC) – Residents of 16 flooded residents here
have received relief assitance from the local government unit, the city
government said.

Through the City Social Welfare and Development Office, the LGU distributed
food packs to hundreds of families in the Barangays affected by flood following
the non-stop rainfall since last week.

The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and the government have agreed on a mutually acceptable draft of the Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL) to be endorsed by President Benigno S. Iqbaland Draft BBL should be made public

COTABATO CITY (Sept.
8/NDBC) – The Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) today said the draft
Bangsamoro Basic Law (BBL), to be certified urgent by President Aquino, should
be made public for healthy and educational scrutiny by the people.

Maguindanao flood victims rise to 180,000

COTABATO CITY
(Sept. 6/NDBC) – The number of affected families in the weeklong floods that
hit Maguindanao’s low lying communities rose to 181,800 persons, the Provincial
Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (RDRRMC) said Saturday morning.

A total of
35,804 families were affected but majority of whom remained in their respective
homes and did not evacuate, hoping water will recede soon.

Cotabato Army dispose unexploded bombs

COTABATO CITY
(Sept. 6/NDBC) – The military will disposed today unexploded ordnance recovered
by Army and police bomb experts in the city and its environs, an Army official
said.

Major Albert
Ortiz, chief of the 3rd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team (EODT)
based in PC Hill, Cotabato City, said the disposal will be held in an
uninhabited area in Barangay Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
