10 BIFF, 2 soldiers die, as Army repulse BIFF harassment

Palace turns over draft BBL to Congress leaders

(UPDATE)MANILA
(Sept. 10/NDBC) – President Aquino today witnessed the turned over the draft
Bangsamoro Basic Law to Senate President Franklin Drilon and House Speaker Jose
Belmonte in ceremonies at Malacanang.

Aquino
said he was confident the draft law was constitutional after Mohaqher Iqbal,
chair of the Bangsamoro Transition Commission (BTC) that drafted the proposal,
handed over the document to Drilon and Belmonte.

Mindanao traders urge Congress to fast-track BBL passage

COTABATO CITY
(Sept. 9/NDBC) – Business leaders in Mindanao have urged Congress to fast-track the
discussions and deliberations then pass the Bangsamoro Basic Law to complete
the peace process in southern Philippines, a peace advocate said Tuesday in a
statement.
The call came
a day before the much awaited submission by President Aquino of the draft bill
to House leaders Wednesday morning in a ceremonial hand over in Malacanang.
