ISIS spokesperson for East Asia, napatay sa Army operation sa Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY - PATAY SA SPECIAL OPERATION ng Western Mindanao Command Joint Task Force Central ang spokesperson ng Islamic State of Iraq and Syria-East Asia (ISIS-EA) kahapon sa Crossing Salbo, Barangay Poblacion, Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Maguindanao.

Kinilala ang nasawi na si Abdulfatah Omar Alimuden alyas Abu Huzaifah.

Ang operasyon ay magkatuwang na ikinasa ng 601st Infantry Brigade, 40th Infantry Battalion, at intelligence units ng army.

2 CAFGUs, 2 civilians wounded in Basilan gun attack

CAMP SK PENDATUN, Maguindanao --- Four persons, two of them government militiamen, were badly hurt in a gun attack on Friday night in Maluso town in Basilan.

The Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region here said Saturday the wounded Serhan Ansay, 34, Alvin Amat, 42, Glendon Mengyaw, 33 and the 34-year-old Ricky Villarin were immediately rushed to a hospital in nearby Isabela City for treatment.

Suspected bus bomber killed, another arrested in North Cotabato clash

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao – Government Forces neutralized a suspected bomber, who is also a member of Dawlah Islamiyah Maguindanao Group (DI-MG) while his cohort was arrested during the conduct of focused military operations and joint law enforcement support operations in Purok 7, Brgy. Police marshals deployed on buses plying in Region 12

KORONADAL CITY – To thwart destabilization by terrorist groups on passenger buses and public terminals, police authorities in the Soccsksargen region have deployed police marshals on buses.

This is to ensure safety of all commuters across the region, according to Brig. Gen. Alexander Tagum, police regional director, following twin bombings in Koronadal and Tacurong.

Tagum has ordered stricter measures in bus terminals and other convergence zone to thwart terror attacks.

2 blasts rock Isabela City, Basilan, 2 hurt

ISABELA CITY - Suspected improvised bombs were set off in two areas here Monday afternoon, Radio Ronda del Basilan reported.

The twin blasts came at about 5 p.m. at the Jollibee outlet and the bus terminal

Two injured have been reported based on initial report.

The first explosion took place near the garage of famous fastfood chain Jollibee followed by another explosion minutes later at the nearby garage of Rubiel Bus Transportation Company.

Police and military authorities are still investigating this latest bombing incident.

Maguindanao school principal hurt in ambush

Isang principal ng paaralan sa bayan ng Paglat ang biktima ng pamamaril sa Pandag, Maguindanao kaninang alas tres ng hapon.

Kinilala ni Lt. Elarcosa ang biktima na si Baimhon Ambalgan, 58 years old at residente ng Tacurong City.

Dagdag sa imbestigasyon ng Pandag PNP, sakay ang biktima ng isang kulay puting honda fit kasama ang kaniyang anak na isa ring guro.

Sugatan ang principal habang hindi nadamay ang anak nito ayon kay Plt. Elarcosa.

Maguindanao election officer survives ambush

COTABATO CITY  – An election officer in Maguindanao today survived a daylight ambush but an aide was slightly injured.

Jean Hangkal, municipal election officer of Datu Salibo, Maguindanao, said in a phone interview that she was driving her vehicle heading to nearby Datu Piang town when she noticed a mini-van partly blocking her path.

She tried to maneuver her vehicle past the mini-van when gunmen inside opened fire toward her direction at about 12:30 p.m.

Another BIFF member perish in Maguindanao Army offensive

COTABATO CITY --- Another terrorist perished in the military’s airstrikes that targeted lairs of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in Datu Salibo town in Maguindanao.

Traditional Moro community leaders identified the fatality as Abdul Patir, whom they said succumbed the other day to injuries sustained in the air attacks by the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, meant to flush BIFF members out from their hideouts in Datu Salibo.

2 hurt in Koronadal City bus bombing

KORONADAL CITY --- Two were slightly hurt when an improvised explosive device went off inside a bus while its driver was maneuvering through a stretch of the busy GenSan Drive here at noontime Thursday.

The IED was placed underneath a seat in the rear of a unit of the Yellow Bus Line, operating on routes connecting the central Mindanao cities of Koronadal, General Santos, Tacurong and Davao City in Region 11.
