CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – Nasa dalawampu’t pitong mga matataas na kalibre ng baril ang isinuko sa 1st Mechanized Infantry (Maaasahan) Brigade.

Ang turn-over ceremony ay isinagawa sa Municipal Hall sa bayan ng Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat nitong ika-5 ng Oktubre 2023.

Ayon kay Brigadier General Andre B Santos, Commander ng 1Mech Bde, dalawampu't pitong mga punong barangay sa nasabing lugar ang nag-turn over ng iba't-ibang uri ng mga baril at bala.

COTABATO CITY – In support of the efforts of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao to sustain the peace in the region, the Cotabato City government and Relief International agreed to cooperate in building the capacities and mobilizing community women as peacebuilders.

COTABATO CITY - Stakeholders want the Bangsamoro government and Malacañang to embark on immediate interventions to save the iconic Liguasan Delta from continuing siltation and abuse by communities relying on endemic fish species for food and commercial fishing.

The Liguasan Delta is said to have vast deposits of natural gas that, according to experts in the central office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources and foreign geologists, can be utilized for large-scale power generation and other industrial uses.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte - Officials unveiled here Thursday a peculiar peace monument, one fashioned from parts of 3,000 assault rifles and rocket launchers surrendered by enemies of state in recent months.

The monument is a large replica of the iconic 5.56 millimeter M16 assault rifle constructed by soldiers beside the gate to the headquarters of the Army’s 6^th Infantry Division here.

Ang mga ito ay nagmula pa mga bayan ng Rajah Buayan, Datu Unsay, Datu Hoffer, Datu Abdullah Sangki at SPMS Box (Shariff Aguak, Pagatin-Datu Saudi Ampatuan, Mamasapano, and Shariff Saydona Mustapha).

KALAMANSIG, Sultan Kudarat -  Two wounded female communsit members surrender at Sitio Maat, Barangay Sangay, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat on 28 July 2023.

At about 4 PM on Friday, Wayda Gumpay aka Mika, medic for the CTGs, and Layna Ampit aka Lynlyn, CTG member, surrendered to the 37th Infantry (Conqueror) Battalion of the 603rd Infantry (Persuader) Brigade and Kalamansig Municipal Police Station.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao Norte  – Army troopers rescued and treated an injured lady New Peoples Army guerilla following an encounter in Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat, the Army said.

On Friday, Lt. Colonel John Paul Baldomar, commander of the 37th Infantry Battalion based in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat, identified the wounded lady warrior as “Alias Charklyn, 30, political instructor of NPA platoon Beijing, Sub-regional committee Daguma, Far South region who was injured during the recent skirmishes.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao Norte  – Local officials in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao Norte on Friday surrendered 36 assorted high-powered firearms, including caliber 50 machinegun, to the military in support to the government’s campaign against loose firearms.

Officials said Saturday that the firearms from local residents and officials in 34 villages to Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao Norte were turned over to Lt. Col. Tristram Tolentino, commanding officer ng 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion.

CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, DOS, Maguindanao del Norte – Tuluyan ng tinalikuran ng isang medic ng grupo ng teroristang komunista ang armadong pakikibaka matapos na magbalik loob ito sa gobyerno.

Ayon kay Alyas Jean, 23 - anyos, nagpasya siyang magbalik-loob sa pamahalaan dahil wala na itong nakikita pang pag-asa sa teroristang grupong kinabibilangan.

Dahil dito, napagdesisyunan niyang iharap ang kanyang sarili sa Army na nakabase sa Sitio Datal Kadi, Tasiman, Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, nitong linggo (ika-21 ng Mayo, 2023).
