Wanted pregnant NPA member surrender in Sultan Kudarat

COTABATO CITY - A pregnant member of the New People’s Army wanted for attempted murder yielded to authorities in Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat Saturday.

Brig. Gen. Michael Santos, commander of the Army’s 603rd Infantry Brigade, said the woman peacefully turned herself in when policemen under units of the Police Regional Office 12 and personnel of the 37th Infantry Battalion arrived at her hideout in Barangay Napnapon and showed her a warrant for her arrest.

3 BIFF leaders, 4 followers surrender to Army

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte - Three ranking leaders of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters and four others surrendered to the military Wednesday.

Major Gen. Alex S Rillera, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said Friday the seven BIFF members yielded through the backchannel intercession of officials of the 6th Infantry Battalion and local executives in different towns in Maguindanao del Sur province.

29 BIFF members surrender to Army in Maguindanao Norte

COTABATO CITY --- A large group of religious extremists from a local group fashioned from the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria surrendered to the Army in Maguindanao del Norte Tuesday.

Major Gen. Alex Rillera, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said Wednesday the 29 members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters agreed to return to the fold of law through the efforts of the 1st Brigade Combat Team based in nearby Sultan Kudarat town in Maguindanao del Norte.

BARMM bolsters network of peace builders thru creation of Peace Institute

COTABATO CITY — Bangsamoro Government thru the Ministry of Public Order and Safety (MPOS) officially launched the Bangsamoro Peace Institute (BPI) on Saturday, Feb 4, here in this city.

According to the Ministry, the institutionalization of BPI will create a network of peacebuilders coming from different backgrounds, who shall be trained on various subjects or skills that are consequential in peacebuilding in the region.

2 captured NPA `extortionists’ pledge allegiance to government

COTABATO CITY - Two members of the New People’s Army cornered by barangay folk while collecting “protection money” from villagers in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat pledged allegiance to the government Monday. 

The two NPAs, initially identified only with their aliases Malakas and Justine for their safety, agreed to renounce their membership with the group through the intercession of leaders in Lebak’s neighboring Barangays Salangsang and Kapilan and officials of the Army’s 57th Infantry Battalion and the 603rd Infantry Brigade.

4 BIFF renounce violence in favor of peace in North Cotabato

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato - Four former members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) who opted to surrender, renounced violence, and choose to reintegrate into the society were formally presented to Bangsamoro region officials in a ceremony held at the 92nd Infantry Battalion Function Hall, Brgy Salunayan here.

The BARMM Government will assist the ex-combatants through the Ministry of the Interior and Local Government's Project TuGoN (Tulong ng Gobyernong Nagmamalasakit).

3 BIFF nagbalik-loob sa Maguindanao del Sur

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – Tumalikod na sa armadong pakikibaka ang tatlong mga kasapi ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters o BIFF at tinanggap ang inaalok na kapayapaan ng pamahalaan makaraang sumuko ang mga ito sa kampo ng 40th Infantry (Magiting) Battalion sa Brgy Kabengi, Datu Saudi, Ampatuan, Maguindanao Del Sur.

32 Moro extremists yield to BARMM police

COTABATO CITY  – Police authorities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) welcomed on Thursday 32 Moro extremists who willingly yielded with their firearms to be with their loved ones and live normal lives.

They gave up their violent struggle and pledge allegiance to Philippine flag to avail of the government’s reconciliation program.

Five more Abu Sayyaf terrorists surrender in Basilan

COTABATO CITY ---- Five more members of the Abu Sayyaf terror group surrendered to authorities in Basilan Saturday.

In a statement Sunday, the office of Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region. said the five terrorists yielded through the intercession of the Army’s 64th Infantry Battalion, the Basilan Provincial Police Office and local officials led by Gov. Jim Salliman.

6 BIFF sumuko sa Tacurong City

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – Nagbalik-loob sa pamahalaan ang anim na mga kasapi ng Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters o BIFF – Karialan Faction sa punong himpilan ng 1st Mechanized Brigade sa Camp Leono, Brgy Kalandagan, Tacurong City.

Ang anim na mga dating BIFF Combatants ay sumuko kay Lt. Col. Jayson Domingo, ang commanding officer ng 1st Mechanized Battalion.
