Soldier form Awang, Maguindanao shot, hurt fellow soldier

COTABATO CITY – An Army private was injured after he was shot by his colleague in Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur over the weekend, the police today said.

In a belated report Brig. General Neil Alinsañgan, police director for Zamboanga peninsula, identified the victim as Private First Class Albert Alain, 25, of the 549th Engineering Battalion base in Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte and the suspect as Corporal Erwin Quevbe.

Both Alain and Queve belonged to the 549th Army Engineering Battalion based in Camp Siongco, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.

Due to "rido?" 9 dead, 6 wounded in North Cotabato gunfights

ALEOSAN, North Cotabato ---- Nine got killed, five of them members of the Citizens Armed Forces Geographical Unit, in a series of related encounters Friday in an interior barangay here.

In a statement Saturday, the Aleosan Municipal Police Station, headed by Major Jennefer Amotan, identified the CAFGU members killed in the hostilities in Sitio Mantawak, Barangay Tapudoc as Ramel Santillan, Jomar Roben, Jesry Galo, Melvin Cabrera and Johnrey Cabrera.

Kin of 3 adolescents killed in “shootout” seek CHR’s help

TACURONG CITY --- The families of the three adolescents killed in an alleged shootout with policemen late Friday have urged the Commission on Human Rights to put closure to the incident.

The fatalities, Samanudin Ali, Horton Ansa, Jr. and cousin Arsad Ansa, died instantly from gunshot wounds and were immediately buried by relatives in keeping with Islamic tradition of burying the dead within 24 hours after death.

Man shot dead in Pikit, North Cotabato

PIKIT, North Cotabato - Patay ang isang hindi pa nakilalang lakaking naka motor nang barilin ng di pa nakilalang gunman alas 9:30 ng umaga ngayong araw ng linggo.

Nagpapatuloy pa ang imbestigasyon ng Pikit PNP at inaalam pa ang pagkakilanlan ng biktima pero napag-alam ng PNP na ito ay taga Manaulanan, Pikit, North Cotabato. 

Ang biktima ay nagmamaneho ng kulay itim na Suzuki Rider sa harap ngpamilihang bayan ng Pikit nang pagbabarilin ng suspect gamit ang pinaniniwalaang caliber .45 pistol.

3 men slain in shootout with cops in Sultan Kudarat

TACURONG CITY  – Police authorities in Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat gunned down three teenagers who resisted checkpoint inspection and engaged pursuing lawmen in gunfight at past 12 midnight, police said.

Major Jenahmeel Toñacao, Lambayong town police chief, said the police were conducting crime prevention operation in Purok 4, Barangay Didtaras, Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat at past 12 midnight.

The police noticed three men on board a motorbike heading toward the town proper and flagged them down for inspection.

1 dead, 2 minors hurt in latest Cotabato City gun attack

COTABATO CITY - A villager was killed while two minors were hurt in another gun attack here late Thursday.

In an initial statement Friday, the Cotabato City Police Office said the fatality, Mohammar Cabilona Mamalangkay, 24, died instantly from bullet wounds sustained in the attack.

Two others, Hamsa Amil Ambiton, 17, and the 12-year-old Mujaheed Salvador Andig, were hit by stray bullets, now both in a hospital.

2 fall in P3.4-M Lanao del Sur shabu sting

COTABATO CITY - Anti-narcotics agents seized P3.4 million worth of shabu from two peddlers entrapped in Wao town in Lanao del Sur Tuesday.

Rogelito Daculla, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region said Wednesday the duo, Jamel Sandulong Mabpan, 34, and his 41-year-old accomplice, Daud Tidong Lios, are now both in their custody.

Explosion naganap sa Pikit, North Cotabato

ISANG pagsabog ang natala sa Sitio Pogpog Brgy., Poblacion, Pikit, Cotabato bandang alas 10:20 kagabi, November 27, 2022.

Ayon sa mga residente, mahimbing na silang natutulog ng mga oras na iyon nang biglang may narinig silang malakas na pagsabog.

Agad naman nilang naireport ito sa awtoridad.

Walang nasugatan sa insidente at hanggang sa ngayon hindi pa tukoy ang mga may kagagawan sa pagpapasabog.

Nakita naman ng ilang witness ang pagtakas ng mga suspek kaya agad na nagsagawa ng hot pursuit operation ang alert team.

NABULAGA ANG DALAWANG mga suspek matapos na malamang ang pinagbentahan nila ng kanilang nakaw na motorsiklo ay ang mismong may-ari nito.

Una nito, dumulog sa Police Station 1 ng Cotabato City PNP ang may-ari ng motorsiklo na si Alliudin ALiman na taga Rosary Heights 3 matapos nakawin ang kanyang XRM motorcycle na noo'y nakaparada lang sa kanilang bahay.

Habang nagfa-facebook, nakita niyang naka post ang kanyang motorsiklo at binebenta ito ng mga suspek na kinilalang sina Mosram Adam at Sul Kipos na mga taga Pikit, Cotabato.
