Mayor Sayadi convenes CPPOC, calls for public vigilance vs. terrorism

COTABATO CITY – Mayor Cynthia Guiani-Sayadi on Tuesday convened the City Peace and
Order Council (CPPOC) to design steps that would strengthen security measures
following the series of bombings in Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

I am
requesting our authorities to impose strictly the NO I.D, NO ENTRY policy in
all our checkpoints, Sayadi said during the POC meeting attended by police and
military officials, local officials, private sector and other city elected
officials.

Another Isulan blast victim dies

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat - Another victim of the deadly Sunday night internet cafe bomb attack has expired while undergoing medication at a hospital in Gen. Santos City, raising death toll to two, police said today.Supt. Aldrin Gonzales, PRO-12 spokesperson, said Marialynn Luda, 15, died Monday morning. She is the cousin of Jan Mark Luda who died minutes after the 7:28 p.m. blast inside Prince Internet Cafe along Valdez Street, Barangay Kalawag 3.Samuel Luda, Jan Mark's father, told DXOM-AM that Marialynn asked Jan Mark to accompany her in the internet cafe for her school assignments.

Classes in all levels suspended in Isulan after internet cafe blast

ISULAN, Sultan Kudarat - Mayor Marites Pallasigue last night ordered suspension of classes in all level all over the town following a bomb explosion inside an internet cafe at 7:25 p.m. Maging mapagmatyag, mapagmasid, be calm and vigilant, she said.As precautionary measure, I delcare the suspension of classes on all levels in all public and private schools...elementary to college.

Police releases sketch of Isulan bombing suspect

GEN. SANTOS CITY–- Police authorities in Region 12 today released the computerized
cartographic sketch of the man who set off a powerful improvised bomb in
Isulan, Sultan Kudarat that killed three and wounded 36 others on August 28.

Chief Supt.
Eliseo Tam Rasco, police director for Region 12, presented the CFC during a
news conference Saturday four days after the deadly bomb attack during the town’s
foundation anniversary and Hamungaya festival.

MCWD announces franchise-wide water service interruption

COTABATO CITY –
The whole franchise area of Metro Cotabato Water District will experience low
water pressure to no water at all on Sept. 3 until Sept. 5, the MCWD
announced today.

Erratic water
services will start at about 2 p.m. on Sept. 3, Monday and will last until
midnight of Sept. 5, Wednesday.

The MCWD said
the services will be affected due to preventive maintenance works and the
installation of new water pumping stations.
