SYNOPSIS: At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "KABAYAN" was estimated based on all available data 535 km East of Davao City (7.5°N, 130.5°E) with maximum sustained winds of 50 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving Westward at 10 km/h.

COTABATO CITY - Gunmen shot dead a Moro patriarch and wounded his wife and two-year-old son in a daytime ambush in Barangay Tamontaka 4 here on Tuesday afternoon.

The Cotabato City Police Office, in a statement Wednesday, said Rahim Timbangan Arsad, possibly the target of the attack, died on the spot from bullet wounds in the head.

Arsad and his spouse, Melissa, and their two-month old son were riding a motorcycle together on their way to somewhere when they were attacked by men armed with pistols, positioned along a stretch of a highway in Barangay Tamontaka 4.

On Monday, Dec. 4, CM Ebrahim, accompanied by key officials from the national government, met with victims and local authorities to discuss interventions and ensure justice for those affected.
 

MANILA – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has vowed to provide new agricultural technologies and help bolster agrarian reform in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

In a press release on Thursday, DAR said a memorandum of understanding (MOU) was signed between its Office for Mindanao Affairs (OMA) and the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) of the Bangsamoro government.

DAR said Secretary Conrado Estrella III signed the MOU with BARMM Chief Minister Ahod Ebrahim on Nov. 28.

Naaresto ang mga suspek sa kanilang

COTABATO CITY - KASALUKUYANG inaapula ng BFP Pigcawayan ang nasusunog na Mindanao Star Bus sa bahagi ng Barangay Panatan, Pigcawayan, North Cotabato.

Sinabi sa DXMS Radyo Bida ngayong umaga ni Pigcawayan PNP Major Andres Sumugat, mechanical error ang sanhi ng sunog batay din sa mismong salaysay ng driver ng bus.

Nasa lugar na ang BFP, AFP at PNP upang mag-responde sa naturang sunog.

Sa ngayon, inaalam pa kung ano ang kalagayan ng mga pasahero ayon kay Major Sumugat.
