15K BARMM healthcare workers receive Covid-19 vaccine 1st dose

COTABATO CITY—A total of 15,347 healthcare workers across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) already received their first dose of vaccine against the Coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) as of Tuesday, June 2.

This was announced by Minister Dr. Bashary Latiph of the Ministry of Health (MOH) during BARMM’s 50th cabinet meeting held on Thursday, June 3, via virtual teleconference.

Dr. Latiph said the number corresponds to 70 percent of the total number of masterlisted healthcare workers at 21,873 under A1 priority group.

Maguindanao lists 21 new COVID-19 infections

COTABATO CITY - The Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Region in Muslim Mindanao on Wednesday listed 54 new cases of COVID-19 infections, raising the confirmed cases to 6,750.

Maguindanao has the highest tally with 21 followed by Cotabato City with 11.

MOH turns over 8 ambulances to Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY — Healthcare units and facilities in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) continue receiving ambulances from the regional government in a bid to keep advancing its services to its people.

Health officials of the Bangsamoro Government turned over eight (8) land ambulances to various barangay health stations (BHS) and rural health units (RHU) from different towns of Maguindanao on Wednesday, June 2, in Cotabato City as a “step toward the fulfilment of the mandate and vision of the Ministry of Health (MOH) under the BARMM Government.”

2 killed, 3 hurt in Maguindanao clan war

MAGUINDANAO -- Two were killed while three were hurt in running gunfights between two feuding clans in Montawal town Tuesday.

In separate statements Wednesday, the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region and the Army’s 6th Infantry Division said the rival clans are led by Noah Abel and Dataya Bacana.

They are squabbling for ownership of strategic swaths of lands in Barangay Nabundas in Montawal, Maguindanao, according to the municipal police.
