KORONADAL CITY – Nine persons belonging to one family were hospitalized Monday
morning hours after eating cake and porridge in Banga, South Cotabato, health officials
and survivors said.

The victims,
now confined at the South Cotabato Provincial Hospital here, were residents of
Barangay San Vicente, Banga, South Cotabato, about 20 kilometers south of here.

Seven of the
victims were children aged one 1 to 12 years old, according to Valerie Salazar,
one of the victims. Two others were adults.

COTABATO CITY – More than 1,000 Indigenous Peoples
in a remote village in Barangay Kauran, Ampatuan, Maguindanao have availed of
medical dental services from the provincial government of Maguindanao, officials
