MATALAM, North
Cotabato – Four were killed in a clash involving members of two Moro
fronts in a remote village here over the weekend, police said today.

Chief Inspector
Sunny Leoncito, police chief of Matalam police station, said both the Moro
Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) and Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) have
suffered two fatalities each in sporadic skirmishes I Barangay Marbel, Matalam,
North Cotabato.

KIDAPAWAN CITY – A soldier was slightly injured when suspected communist rebels set
off a roadside bomb in President Roxas, North Cotabato Saturday, police said.

A convoy of
military vehicles of 19th Infantry Battalion was heading to
Kidapawan City from Arakan, also in North Cotabato when the roadside bomb went
off at 8:10 p.m. Saturday in Purok 8, Barangay Poblacion, Pres. Roxas town, Supt.
Bernard Tayong, North Cotabato police spokesperson, said

BAGUMBAYAN, Sultan Kudarat---Three councilmen of the Kilusang Rebolusyonaryong Baranggay(KRB) withdrew their support from the communist movement at 3and00pm yesterday, Feb 21. Lt Col Harold M Cabunoc, the Commanding Officer of the 33rd Infantry (Makabayan) Battalion, said that the councilmen were deceived by the communist movement in joining the 'village level elections' in 2017. They were made to believe that it was a regular election of village leaders. They swore their oath of duty before unfamiliar people who visited the village, said Cabunoc.

COTABATO CITY -- Two teendrivers lost their lives
when the motorcycles they were driving figured in a collision Sunday, February
18, in Barangay Nabalawag, Barira, Maguindanao.

Barira police chief Police Senior
Inspector Misuari Macacua identified the young drivers as Alikasan Marindeg, 16
years old, and Jalil Marcos, 17, both residents of Barangay Tugaig also in Barira.

Macacua said Marindeg was driving an
unregistered RUSI 125 while Marcos was on an XRM-125 with plate number of MK
3619.

GEN. SANTOS CITY - Joint operatives from Regional Police
Drug Enforcement Unit 12 (RPDEU 12) and Police Station 3 of General Santos City
Police Office (GSCPO) seized almost P36,000 worth of shabu and arrested two suspects in illegal-drug buy bust operation on Tuesday.The operation was conducted along Nursery road corner Yanson Village in Barangay Lagao, General

AMPATUAN, Maguindanao – Police and military authorities here have
launched manhunt against two gunmen who shot dead a town councilor Wednesday
morning.

John Encinas, spokesperson of 6th Infantry Division, said elements
of the 57th Infantry Battalion have been providing manpower and
resources to the Datu Saudi Ampatuan Municipal Police Office in hunting down
the killers of Town Councilor Sahabudin Namli, 42 of Datu Saudi Ampatuan and
resident of Barangay Madia.

GEN. SANTOS CITY - Four uniformed
personnel and two on-Uniformed personnel assigned with the Regional
Comptrollership Division of Police Regional Office 12 were awarded with Medalya
Ng Papuri (PNP Commendation Medal) during Monday morning program at the PRO-12
regional office.

Following the PRO12 traditional
flag raising ceremony, Senior Supt. Johnson C. Almazan, deputy regional director
for operation, assisted by Senior Supt. Manuel M. Lukban Jr., regional chief directorial
staff presented the medals to the awardees.
