COTABATO CITY – Anti-narcotics agents,
backed by police and soldiers, arrested Wednesday night a Maguindanao village
chairman and his son for possession of unlicensed guns and illegal drugs.

Another man who was also armed and present when
agents of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Autonomous Region in Muslim
Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM) was also arrested, according to PDEA Director Juvenal
Azurin.

MANILA— A Catholic priest died and another was injured today in separate road accidents in the southern part of Eastern Samar province amid inclement weather.Fr. COTABATO CITY --- Anti-narcotics agents arrested three large-scale drug traffickers in separate operations Friday in central Mindanao.Valente Cariño, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency for Region 12, said Saturday the now detained Norodin Lawas, Mark Cantoneros and Alex Cañon are to be prosecuted separately for violation of the provisions of the Philippine Dangerous Drugs Act.Lawas was arrested by combined PDEA-12 agents and personnel of the local police in Maasim town in Sarangani province.Valente said Lawas belong to the notorious Premo drug syndicate.The group, whose memb

COTABATO CITY -- The Bureau of Fire Protection-Autonomous
Region in Muslim Mindanao (BFP-ARMM) will be accepting entries for its 2nd
Joint Cool Run until February 19.

This year’s edition of the Cool Run
with the theme Takbo Laban sa Sunog 2018 is set for March 10 as part of this
year’s observance of Fire Prevention Month.

According to BFP-ARMM, they set an
earlier registration period for the run to have adequate time to prepare the
items participants will receive.

COTABATO CITY -- The City Civil Registry
Office (CCRCO) here has called the attention of its clientele to the importance of
Civil Registration Month, celebrated yearly every February as mandated by
Proclamation 682 issued by former President Corazon Aquino on January 28, 1991.

COTABATO CITY -- The City Engineers’
Office (CEO) here has started implementing infrastructure projects scheduled
for this year with P8-million funding from the City Government.

According to Engr. Samuel Jorolan, city
engineer, the projects include the concreting key streets in the city among
which are San Antonio Street in Rosary Heights 11, Rufo Mañara Sreet going to L.R
Sebastian Elementary School, Yap-Sia Street and Delcano Street in Rosary
Heights 10 and Concha Drive in Rosary Heights 3.
