Dump truck driver killed, 3 hurt in North Cotabato highway crash

KIDAPAWAN CITY --- Despite repeated appeals by government officials and traffic enforcers for motorists to slow down along highways in Makilala, North Cotabato, highway mishaps still happen.The latest of which left one dump truck driver dead when the vehicle he was driving rammed a 10-wheeler truck it was tailing in Patulangon, Purok 11, BarangayPoblacion, Makilala, North Cotabato at about 1 a.m.

Aboitiz firm donates e-lab to Cotabato’s public school

COTABATO CITY –
For the second time in two years, the Aboitiz owned Cotabato Light and Power Company
(Cotabato Light) has turned over electrical laboratory to a government owned
public high school here Friday.

Established
through the Aboitiz Foundation, the Cotabato Light turned over its second
electrical laboratory (e.Lab) within its franchise area and the beneficiary was

5 big time drug peddlers fall in anti-drug ops

CITY (Feb. 27) – A series of anti-drug operations in the region have resulted
to the arrest of five drug suspects and the recovery of more than Php20,000
worth of prohibited substance, police said.

Chief
Inspector Aldrin Gonzales, speaking for police in Region 12, said the series of
operation were conducted by the city police in partnership with the Philippine
Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA-12) and the city and regional Police Drug
Enforcement Units.
