COTABATO CITY - Four people, among them a four-year-old child, perished in separate road accidents in Kidapawan City and in Hagonoy, Davao del Sur on Sunday.

The first to die from the two accidents was Kimberly Pamplona Villastique and her four-year-old son, Leo Mark, who were in their vegetable vending stall along a portion of the Cotabato-Davao Highway in Barangay Ilomavis in Kidapawan City in Cotabato province that a wayward dump truck rammed, killing them both on the spot.

COTABATO CITY - Anti-narcotics agents shot dead an uncooperative former barangay councilor and arrested his two cohorts in an entrapment operation in Wao, Lanao del Sur.

Christian Frivaldo, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, told reporters Friday their agents and policemen were forced to neutralize Samanodin Pangnalan after he drew a pistol when he sensed that he and his two companions had sold shabu to non-uniformed government operatives disguised as drug dependents.

COTABATO CITY - Two villagers were seriously wounded in a gun attack Thursday in Lala, Lanao del Norte.

Major Allan Oniana, municipal police chief, said Friday the victims, Mila Lacasa Atentista and Marjo Bondaug Ramas, who sustained gunshot wounds in different parts of their bodies, are now both in a hospital.

Atentista and Ramas were talking to each other along a stretch of a highway in Barangay Raw-an when two men riding a motorcycle together pulled over close to them, pulled out pistols from their waists and opened fire.

COTABATO CITY --- An 11-year-old child died while 23 others were hospitalized Friday after eating expired canned sardines and corned beef they found in a vacant lot in Zamboanga City, dumped by a dealer, already unfit for human consumption.

In separate statements released on Friday afternoon, the Zamboanga City Health Office and the Zamboanga City Police Office identified the food poisoning fatality as Gabriel Agdatan Sumulang, whose cadaver is now in a mortuary.

COTABATO CITY --- Life is back to normal for more than 400 villagers at the upland border of North Cotabato and Davao del Sur provinces that communist rebels had abused in years past.

COTABATO CITY --- The police is now in custody of a man who hacked dead a three-year-old child and hurt two others late Thursday in a secluded barangay in Lamitan City.

Brig. Gen. Allan Nobleza, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, told reporters here Friday Bonie Tandi Erang, 27, is now detained at the Lamitan City Police Station, arrested four hours after the gruesome incident by pursuing policemen and barangay tanods.

COTABATO CITY - The police seized in an offshore operation in Zamboanga City on Saturday night P7.1 million worth of imported cigarettes six boatmen were to deliver to Pagadian City from Sulu province.

COTABATO CITY --- Gunmen riding a motorcycle together shot dead a popular traffic policeman in a daring attack Wednesday in Kabasalan town in Zamboanga Sibugay.

The fatality, Chief Master Sgt. Ronald Sumamban, known in Kabasalan as a dedicated policeman who was tough in enforcing traffic regulations and related municipal ordinances, died on the spot from two bullet wounds in the head.

JOLO, Sulu - Three DI-Listed drug suspects were arrested by combined personnel of Jolo MPS together with the augmented personnel from 4th RMFC, RMFB BASULTA, in coordination with PIU-Sulu PPO, in a drug buy-bust operation in Sitio Serantes, Brgy. Chinese Pier, Jolo, Sulu, at about 8:00 PM of June 26, 2023.

The three (3) arrested namely Matar Lim Asjali alias "Matar", and his cohorts Fadsjar Hassan Ajirul alias "Fads" and Jordan Principil Sabandal, were busted in the Anti-Illegal Drugs Buy-Bust operation under PDEA BAR Pre-Ops Number 30005-062023-0103.
