COTABATO CITY – A group of 44 local terrorists, seven of them experts in fabrication of bombs, surrendered to the Army Sunday.

Four of the 44 members of the outlawed Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters, who renounced their membership with the group in a symbolic rite in Kabacan town in Cotabato, are commanders, according to local officials. 

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao  – Military forces captured an encampment of Dawlah Islamiya-Maute Group in Lanao del Sur and recovered war materials and explosives, the Army here said.

Major Gen. Roy Galido, commander of the Army’s 6th Infantry Division, said civilians in Marogong, Lanao del Sur have provided the Philippine Marines vital information about the presence of gunmen in the village of Bagumbayan.

After the intelligence information was confirmed, Major Gen. Galido said a law enforcement operation was launched by First Marine Brigade.

COTABATO CITY  - Siyam na ang kumpirmadong patay kabilang ang limang CAA member matapos ang nangyaring sagupaan sa pagitan ng Civilian Active Auxiliary o CAA member at armadong grupo sa Sitio Mantawak, barangay Tapodoc, Aleosan, Cotabato, alas 2:20 ng hapon kahapon.

Sa report ng Aleosan PNP, bago ang palitan ng putok ay una umanong inambush ng mga armadong suspek ang isang CAA member habang sakay ito sa isang motorsiklo na kinilalang si Ramel Santillan.

COTABATO CITY - TULOY ANG PAGHAHANAP ng mga tauhan ng Buldon PNP sa tulong ng Philippine Marines sa mga taong responsible sa pagsalakay sa CAFGU temporary outpost sa isang tulay sa Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte.

Nasawi on the spot sa naturang pamamaril sina CAFGU members Christian Silvestre, Ignacio Lozad at Dondon Ahito.

Ang ikaapat na CAFGU ay nasawi kagabi na kinilalang si Arnel Cayanan habang patuloy na inoobserbahan ang kalagayan ng isa pa na kinilalang si Calbertson Baggay.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Norte – Mariing kinundena ng pamunuan ng 6th Infantry Division ang pamamaril sa mga kasapi ng civilian active auxiliary (CAA) sa Sitio Simway, Edcor, Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte, ala-1:00 ng madaling araw kanina.

Ayon kay Major General Roy M Galido, 6th ID commanding general at hepe ng Joint Task Force Central, hindi makatarungan ang pagpaslang sa mga miyembro ng CAA na nagbabantay lamang ng inaayos na tulay.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao  – Three militiamen were slain and two others were injured in a gun attack at about 1:20 a.m. Monday in Buldon, Maugindanao del Norte, the Army here said.

Lt. Colonel Dennis Almorato, speaking for the Army’s 6^th Infantry Battalion, told reporters that the militiamen were part of the Army unit securing the bridge damaged by typhoon Paeng in Barangay Edcor, Buldon, Maguindanao del Norte.

Citing field report, Colonel Almorato said the gunmen fled toward the hinterlands of Barangay Nuyo.

COTABATO CITY - Military officials today lauded the support provided by local officials of Bagumbayan, Sultan Kudarat that led to the neutralization of six communist rebels.

Maj. Gen. Roy Galido, 6th Infanry Division commander and Colonel Michael Santos, 603rd Infantry Brigade commander, separately told reporters they have enlisted the help of local officials in Bagumbayan and other towns in Sultan Kudarat province to help secure the surrender of NPAs in barangays under their jurisdiction via backchannel dialogues.

CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao del Sur – Mas pinaigting ngayon ng 6th Infantry (Kampilan) Division, Philippine Army ang paglansag ng mga loose firearms para mapigilan ang mga krimen na nangyayari sa lugar na nasasakupan nito.

Ayon kay Major General Roy Galido, ang Commander ng 6ID at Joint Task Force Central na dapat ay matanggal ang instrumento ng karahasan. “The instrument of violence must be removed to prevent it from sowing violence among us”.

COTABATO CITY - Investigators have filed murder charges against 10 members of a local terrorist group for the August 30 fatal ambush of a municipal police chief and an escort in Ampatuan, Maguindanao del Sur.

The slain policemen ---Lt. Reynaldo Samson, chief of the Ampatuan Municipal Police Station, and his subordinate, Cpl. Salipudin Endab --- and companions were to arrest a wanted member of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters in an interior area in Barangay Kapinpilan when gunmen shot their vehicle with assault rifles.
