Japan consul visits BARMM, assures continuous support for the region

COTABATO CITY  – A Japanese diplomatic official has visited the Bangsamoro parliament to officially inform the regional officials of the strengthened and revitalized diplomatic office in Davao City ready to serve the people of Bangsamoro region.

Japan Consul General Yoshiaki Miwa on Friday visited Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Speaker Pangalian Balindong at the latter’s office here.

Balindong welcomed Miwa, who is the first Consul General of the Japan’s Consulate General Office in Davao City.

Norwegian envoys visits Basilan, first ever in history of the province

COTABATO CITY - A Norwegian envoy was in Basilan Wednesday for a peace dialogue with provincial officials struggling to sustain the image now of the province as the new investment frontier in the Bangsamoro region.

Ambassador Bjorn Staurset Jahnsen was accompanied to Isabela City in Basilan by subordinate-diplomats assigned in their embassy in Metro Manila.

Basilan Gov. Jim Salliman said Thursday they were so honored with the visit of Jahnsen.

MSU-Marawi confers honorary degree on Chief Minister Ebrahim

COTABATO CITY — To recognize his exemplary contributions to humanity and peace building in the Bangsamoro region, the Mindanao State University (MSU) - Marawi conferred the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in Peace and Development, honoris causa to Bangsamoro Chief Minister Ahod ‘Al Haj Murad’ Ebrahim.

The conferment, which took place during the 55th Commencement Exercises (1st Semester A.Y. 2019-2020) of the MSU-Marawi on Tuesday, January 28, was upon the recommendation of MSU System President Habib Macaayong and approval of the members of the Board of Regents.

Under BARMM, former rebels turn into humanitarian volunteers

DAVAO CITY -- It was a memorable moment for six hardcore members off Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) fighters to be part of the “Tabang” outreach mission volunteers of the Bangsamoro Autonomous region in bringing aid to Taal victims in Batangas few days ago.

From battlefield warriors' lives, the warriors have turned into humanitarian works as they are now in-charge at the frontline in bringing aids to the needy evacuees of the volcano eruption.

BTA speaker welcomes new BARMM legislator

COTABATO CITY — Speaker Pangalian M. Balindong officially received Wednesday, January 22 the newest addition to the Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Parliament, Ali B. Sangki during latter’s courtesy visit to the Office of the Speaker.

Sangki, a former undersecretary and executive director of the Office on Muslim Affairs (OMA) took his oath last January 08 before President Rodrigo Duterte. He is the 79th member out of the 80 required by the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL).

COTABATO CITY - Nagpasa ng propose resolution si Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA) Member of Parliament Bai Maleiha B. Candao para sa mga mahihirap na senior citizens sa Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Ito ay ang pagbibigay ng ngipin sa RA 9994 para maging aktibo ang BARMM government sa pagpapatupad ng mga privileges na dapat pakinabangan ng mga Bangsamoro indigent senior citizens.

TF vs human trafficking launched in BARMM

COTABATO CITY  – To contain cases of human trafficking syndicates preying on innocent and poor Moro women, and men too, the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has partnered with a nongovernment organization in putting up Bangsamoro Task Force against trafficking of Filipino overseas workers.

As the region commemorates the first year anniversary of the approval of Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), the law that created BARMM, the task force was launched Tuesday with the help from Blas Ople Policy Center (BOPC).

BARMM sends aid to Taal volcano eruption victims as it celebrates BOL ratification

COTABATO CITY  – Officials of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) yesterday commemorated the first year anniversary of the ratification of Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL), the enabling law that created BARMM by sending relief goods to Taal volcano eruptions in Batangas.

During sendoff ceremonies of about P2 million worth of food and non-good items for Moro and non-Moro victims of volcanic eruption, BARMM Chief Minister Murad Ahod Ebrahim the regional government will extend help to those in need, this time, the people affected by Taal volcano eruption.

BARMM extends help to evacuees from Taal Volcano's surroundings

COTABATO CITY  --- Southerners are extending help to residents from areas near Taal Volcano in the far north.

The office of Chief Minister Hadji Ahod Ebrahim of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao dispatched from Cotabato City in Central Mindanao Tuesday more than 50 tons of relief supplies for evacuees from the surroundings of the alarmingly restive Taal Volcano.
