COTABATO CITY -- Four alleged motorcycle thieves were killed in a shootout with cops in Esperanza, Sultan Kudarat, on Saturday night. 

In a report, Brig. Gen. Eliseo Tam Rasco, chief of the Police Regional Office 12, identified the slain suspects as Gabriel Bothi Maulana, 31; and Tongs Kamidon, both of Banga, South Cotabato; and Kadil Tambeg and Kamad Pidiwata, both of Lambayong, Sultan Kudarat. 

COTABATO CITY -- The Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) has scheduled power service interruption for six hours beginning at 6 a.m. on Sunday, June 30, 2019.

This is to facilitate the primary line tapping and line re-tensioning due to DPWH road widening.

Affected areas include access road in front of city hall going to Virgo Urban Poor Subdivision and some portions of Rosary Heights 9, Cotabato City.

KORONADAL CITY - Ipinasara ng Bureau of Internal Revenue o BIR ang Flying V gasoline station sa Gensan Drive at Arrellano st., nitong lungsod sa isinagawang “oplan kandado”.

Sinabi ni Revenue District Officer Noel Gonzales na dumaan sa mahabang proseso bago isinagawa ang operasyon sa gasoline station. Nagkaroon umano ng surveillance at binigyan ng pagkakataon ang kumpanya na makasagot.

Ayon kay Gonzales, dapat ay tuparin muna ng kumpanya ang responsibilidad nito sa gobyerno bago payagang muling makapag operate.

MLANG, NORTH COTABATO - Patay ang tatlo katao, kabilang na ang 3-anyos na bata habang isa namang menor de edad ang sugatan, matapos na mabangga ng isang sasakyan ang kanilang motorsiklo sa Purok Centro, barangay New Rizal Mlang, North Cotabato.

Kinilala ang nasawi na sina Efren Pacheca Pagdato, 48-anyos, Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team, angkas na si Conchita Buenaventura, 48-anyos, may asawa at Ken Nathaniel Cabana Fuentes, 3-anyos habang ginagamot naman ngayon sa isang ospital si Aldrin Jay Caluna Cabana, 9-anyos at lahat nakatira sa naturang lugar.

PIGCAWAYAN, North Cotabato – Joint anti-narcotic operatives, military and police personnel on Tuesday conducted a raid in Barangay Buricain here to arrest two wanted drug personalities involved in big time drug peddling in North Cotabato.

Director Naravy Duquiatan of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Soccsksargen region led the 5 a.m. operation along with elements from 34^th Infantry Battalion and Pigcawayan Municipal Police Office.

SULTAN KUDARAT --- More than 300 families were forced to relocate to safer areas by recurring gunfights since last week  between two rival Moro groups in Palimbang town.

Fridaliza Gazo of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in South Cotabato was quoted in radio reports Wednesday as saying that relief services have been extended to evacuees now in Barangay Ned in Lake Sebu town.

Lake Sebu is a component-town of South Cotabato province.

RADJA BUAYAN, Maguindanao – A Maguindanao town mayor is asking the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) and the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) to provide Radja Buayan town with a fire truck and fire fighters.

The appeal was aired by Mayor Zamzamin Ampatuan after a fire gutted down a birthing station, a drug store, internet café and residential homes in Barangay Zapakan, Radja Buayan town before dawn Tuesday.

MIDSAYAP, North Cotabato  – Families residing in a community that opted to join the expanded autonomous region in Muslim Mindanao and displaced by armed conflict received relief assistance on Sunday.

The Ministry of Social Services of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MSS-BARMM), headed by Minister Atty. Raissa Jajurie, distributed food packs to some 432 individuals who were forced to flee homes due to “rido” or clan war in Barangay Tumbras, Midsayap, North Cotabato.

COTABATO CITY  – A distraught fisherman in Lebak, Sultan Kudarat on Monday stabbed to death his wife after a heated argument, police said.

Major Randy Eliarda, Lebak town police chief, identified the victim as Daisy Villar, 39, who works as domestic home worker in United Arab Emirates and resident of Barangay Aurelio Freires Sr, Lebak, Sultan Kudarat.

She sustained multiple stab wounds in various parts of her body after she was attacked by her husband, Anjo, following a heated argument in their home at 1:30 p.m.
