KIDAPAWAN CITY -- The city government here Friday extended emergency assistance to families affected by recent floods that hit the locality.

Kidapawan City Mayor Joseph Evangelista ordered the distribution of relief goods to affected families through the city social welfare office and the city disaster risk reduction and management office.

About 168 families from eight puroks (zones) of low-lying Barangay Poblacion here were affected by the floods that hit the city after an overnight downpour Thursday evening.

COTABATO CITY - The Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) today announces a franchise wide power service interruption on Sunday, June 23.

The 60-minute power service interruption will come at 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. to facilitate the temporary transfer of loads from Sultan Kudarat sub-station to Tacurong sub-station in line with the scheduled repair and maintenance activity.

Power interruption will also come at 5 to 6 p.m. for the shifting back or normalization of loads respectively.  

MAGUINDANAO --- Nine large-scale drug dealers with links to an outlawed Islamic State-inspired group were arrested in separate police operations in the province Friday.

Reports reaching the office of Brig. Gen. Marni Marcos of the Regional Police Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao indicated that the first to fall were three operators of a drug ring in Datu Anggal Midtimbang, Maguindanao.

KIDAPAWAN CITY - Arson investigators are still determining the cause of the fire that gutted down a 2-classroom building inside a public elementary school here Friday afternoon.

Kidapawan City Schools Division Supt. Romelito Flores said the 2-classroom building of Isidoro Lonzaga Memorial Elementary School sa Barangay Magsaysay, Kidapawan City went on fire at about 4 p.m.

Flores said the damaged school building are for Grades 4 and 5.

KORONADAL CITY – Investors of Joglew Marketing here have complained of non-payment of return of investments as promised on Thursday.

Several people have trooped to Jogle Marketing along GenSan Drive hope to get the “payout” on Thursday only to be told that “no releases today and wait for further announcement.”

Some investors told Radyo Bida Koronadal that the promised “times seven interest of your investments” has been reduced to “times two.”

Ayon sa report, inaresto si Ferolin matapos mabilhan ng iligal na droga ng nagpanggap na poseur buyer na isang police asset.

COTABATO CITY (June 20) – The Cotabato Light and Power Company (Cotabato Light) today announces a 4-hour power interruption on Saturday.

Power interruption will happen on June 22, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon.

Affected areas are portions of San Juan Street and Kimpo Subdivision, Cotabato City.

TACURONG CITY- Nagpapatuloy pa ang imbestigasyon ng mga otoridad sa dalawang kaso ng pamamaril sa Barangay Poblacion, Tacurong City kaninang umaga.

Sinabi ni Tacurong City police director Lt Colonel Joefel Siason na pasado alas 10:20 ng umaga ng pinasok ng mga gunmen ang isang internet cafe at pinagbabaril ang may-ari nito na si Erickson Aranico, 32 anyos at residente ng Purok II, Barangay Poblacion.
