PLDT HOME SERVICE ADVISORYand[July 9, 2018]Voice and data services of PLDT subscribers in several Mindanao provinces have been adversely affected by four successive cuts in our fiber transmission network caused by ongoing road construction work. Affected areas include the Davao region, some areas in SoCSKSarGen, parts of Caraga and Bukidnon. Repair work is ongoing but is hampered by rains in the affected areas. We shall provide further updates as repair work progresses.

COTABATO CITY - Two of the suspects in the murder of a Lanao del Sur town councilor surrendered to police authorities, officials said late Monday.Abdulazis Kusin Guiday Abdulkader and Alimparok Dumiar Pagrangan volunteered to yield on Sunday night, hours after they allegedly shot dead Kapatagan Councilor Naffif Palawan Bansil on Saturday afternoon in the town of Balabagan, adjacent to Kapatagan.Four others were injured, all companions of the slain town councilor.

COTABATO CITY – After covert operations and case build-up, agents of
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in the Autonomous Region in Muslim
Mindanao (ARMM), arrested Thursday afternoon five persons, including three
members of a legitimate Moro rebel group.

PDEA operatives,
backed by police and Army, also seized an M-16 Armalite rifle and two .45 cal.
pistol and Php170,000 worth of illegal drugs from the suspects who, PDEA said,
belonged to a drug syndicate operating in the city and nearby areas.
