Kinilala ng Koronadal City PNP na pinamumunuan ni Police Lt. Col Rey Egos ang nasawing welder na si Reynan Pagdato 54 anyos na nagmamay ari din ng tindahan sa compound ng Koronadal Sports Complex sa barangay, Sto. Nino, sa syudad.

Si Pagdato ay agad na binawian ng buhay sa pamamaril ng tatlong mga salarin na bigla na lamang umanong pumasok sa sabungan alas dyes y medya kagabi.

Sugatan din sa insidente si Harry Depito 15 anyos estudyante na kritikal ngayon ang kondisyon dahil sa tama ng bala ng baril sa ulo.

Gunman hurt in shootout with CIDG agents in Maguindanao

MAGUINDANAO - A suspected gun-for-hire was wounded while two others were nabbed in a police operation on Friday morning in Datu Piang town in this province.

The injured Onz Meguan and cohorts Mangi Kato and Tato Tilendo, all ethnic Maguindanaons, are now in the custody of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

NDU produces 8 new lawyers

COTABATO CITY - The Oblate owned Notre Dame University prides itself with eight new lawyers who passed last year's bar exam, the NDU president announced today.

Fr. Francis Zabala, OMI, NDU president, posted on his FB page the names of successful examinees from NDU college of law.

Only 22.07 percent (1,800 out of 8,158) passed the 2018 bar exam, Bar Chair Supreme Court Associate Justice Mariano C. Del Castillo said in a statement.

Cotabato Light announces power interruption on May 5 and 6

COTABATO CITY -- The Cotabato Light and Power Company has announced power interruption in its whole franchise area on Sunday and Monday.

The Cotabato Light said the interruption is due to activities the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines has to take on May 5 - 6, 2019.

5 caught smuggling big volume of shabu to SK province

SULTAN KUDARAT --- Authorities seized P1.2 million worth of shabu in an operation in Isulan town Thursday that led to the arrest of five large-scale drug traffickers.

The suspects, Noraida Sabang, Namraida Sengkong Mama, Aisa Nasser Baldido, Abdul Zainudin and Anwar Kasim, are now detained, to be prosecuted for violation of the Comprehensive Philippine Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

All five of them are residents of Cotabato City, according to the Police Regional Office-12.

Clan war dislocate Midsayap barangay residents

NORTH COTABATO - Two gunmen were killed while four others were wounded in recurring gunfights since Monday between two Moro clans in Midsayap town.

Police and Army units in the municipality have confirmed that the hostilities in Barangay Tumbras in Midsayap, North Cotabato between the Taha and Macarimbor clans have dislocated 417 families.

The two clans, squabbling for control of arable lands in Barangay Tumbras and locked in deep-seated political differences, reportedly lost a member each in the ensuing skirmishes.

BFP-North Cotabato records 44 fires in Q1

KIDAPAWAN CITY – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) in North Cotabato reported 44 fire incidents during the first quarter of this year that damaged more than P88 million worth of properties.

Five persons were reported killed during various conflagration.

Fire Officer Samyr Mundas of BFP-North Cotabato said this year's number of fires was almost the same during the same period last year.

Mundas, speaking in behalf of BFP North Cotabato told dxND-Radyo Bida that the cost of damages was based on bureau’s initial assessment.

DSWD, UNDP complete P13-M social infra projects in Region 12

KORONADAL CITY -- The partnership of Department of Social Welfare and Development and United Nations Development Programme has completed P13. 18 million worth of infrastructure projects, helping various villagers in the region to access basic social services, an agency senior official said Tuesday.

Bonifacio V. Selma Jr., DSWD 12 assistant regional for operations said that 11 community projects have been completed including day care centers, schools, centers for children with special needs and senior citizens building.
